Arriving Unprepared A recruiter never hires a candidate simply on the basis of the skills that are required for the company. If you go unprepared for your interview it will show that you are not interested in the job and will lower your chances of getting selected. The first thing that a recruiter notices about you is your dress, so be very particular about your dressing style. It is not necessary to wear casual clothes for the interview, but you must wear a decent outfit with elegant colour. Wearing clothes that are tight or loose, dressy or extremely casual can work against you. Don’t judge the recruiter or feel self-conscious about it; they are just doing their job. Your clothes can tell a lot about your judgement and your appearance in front of their valuable customer.
